True Success
This is my unedited journal entry for 19th August 2020
There are a ton of ways of effectuating habits and building change over time. and something I've been poring over the past weeks is the habits of the loudly ultra successful. A common phenomena is emerging, where the very successful come up with a a hard to implement or follow anecdote when asked the path to their success, and I think the true reason is, most of them never knew or thought they'd be there in the exactly the way they are.
The modern day millennial and Gen-Z has been sold the story of instant 20's success that does not factor in parental influence, inherited wealth, geographical locality, connections,(crony capitalism) and much more, but most importantly luck. Inasmuch as people may not see it, luck plays an integral role in how successful people end up successful.
But of course, there is the other side of success and luck and that side can be created, it can be morphed and pulled from the depths that it is,is? I call it the vector anchored success . The success that's built over time, its built slowly and painfully by habits learnt in tears and agony and it creates a beautiful picture that no child of nobility can ever paint, its the business that is built over the years, with slow but consistent growth. The career that has not seen handouts, the future that has not been secured by a wealthy parent, and to be honest, that's a way better dream to sell to that ordinary guy - the dream that building beautiful and awesome things take time , that having wealth is more about its freedom than the status it gives and that success ultimately hinges on precisely how you define it and never how people see you
Notes:
1.Everything in brackets I added when I was transferring the piece of writing from my journal to the blog, and boy are the sentences loong.
2.Also, I am a christian, we don't believe in luck, we call it Gods intervention. but in this case, I think the idea would work if I stuck with using the word luck from a secular standpoint....probably, I think, I actually wrote this over a year before today in my journal.... so I'm not sure, lol
