The moral Legalists' Conondrum - Sacrifice vs Beauty

I think legalists are incapable of enjoying or even seeing beauty
That's why they like bland dresses and clothes, calling them simple and decent,
They choose boring dates, thinking of them as sacrificial ministry rather than enjoying the gift of friendship and love,
They choose bland-looking food, confusing simplicity in diet with scarcity in flavor and variety.
They choose boring looking designs or houses, they confuse intricate detailing with grandiosity,
They are incapable of separating sultriness from beauty, they confer attraction to sin.
Incapable of seeing a separation between self-expression and pride, they think uniqueness is a luciferan trait.
I think it's because they struggle to see beauty in all that's good, because good to them means sacrifice, pain, lack and ugliness.
and if good in of itself is beautiful and attractive, then their struggle and sacrifice in their choice of unattractive dress, talk, diet and many other things ultimately mean nothing,
I think it stems from their inability to see God as the source of all that is beautiful and good, and that in him even sacrifice does look beautiful and attractive
