This might rub off the wrong way...

....but I don't believe white weddings are christian weddings, I think they are just European weddings. They have no biblical foundations and neither are they mentioned or hinted at in the spirit of prophecy (I could be wrong).
We have adopted so much European culture under the pretext of 'christianity' that we have lost the spirit and essence of the traditions and practices. We have weddings that are so expensive I honestly dread when I'll be doing mine, we confer 'holy music' to the style of traditionally classic European  music (which was primarily and only secular btw) and african accapella or instruments are all devilish and come from devil worshiping Congo?.
we've lost so much of our culture and traditions of respect, love and honour and we garb it in some faux version of Christianity, paying tithe and spearheading the building of churches in the city while your family is struggling among other shenanigans .
I believe african culture, lifestyle and practices which isn't contrary to the word of God explicitly in spirit and practice, must be brought back and preserved. We the luo never used to cook for people when they come to comfort us during funerals, it was the visitors who came to cook for us - there's nothing that can convince me that is unchristian....how many such practices have we lost, that would benefit the family, the church, the society as a whole??
Lets embrace our traditions that benefit and are full of love and respect for each other and stop adopting a cultureless european lifestyle and way of life that is selfish, impractical and unchristian .
God created us black and gave us a unique perspective and way of life, so when he saves us, he doesn't save us from our skin,he saves us from our selfishness and sin
